At Arts in Motion Studio, we are constantly inspired by the artists who come through our doors and share their creativity with us. One of those artists is Christine, a dedicated student who has been working with our teaching artist, Jodie, for close to two years. Together, they have created a beautiful collection of unique paintings that radiate joy, color, and personality—each one a reflection of Christine’s vibrant spirit.
Christine came to Arts in Motion Studio with an extensive background in art. Her family supported her in creating art, selling cards with her beautiful work on them. Although art has always held meaning in Christine’s life, she wanted to join Arts in Motion to share that passion and connect with others. Jodie and Christine have developed new ways for Christine to push herself through art. Each piece they work on together tells a story and brings smiles to everyone who has the pleasure of seeing Christine’s work.
Christine’s family has shared how meaningful Arts in Motion has been in her life. They describe our studio as a place where Christine feels free to express herself, connect with friends, and find true purpose through her artwork. For Christine, art is more than just a class—it’s a community, a safe space, and a source of confidence and joy.
Stories like Christine’s remind us why we do what we do. Arts in Motion Studio exists to create opportunities for self-expression, connection, and growth through the arts, and seeing students like Christine thrive is the heart of our mission. We are so incredibly proud of her dedication, her creativity, and the joy she brings to our studio.
We invite you to celebrate Christine’s journey with us and continue supporting Arts in Motion Studio as we work to ensure that every student has the opportunity to discover their voice, their talents, and their purpose through the arts.
Thank you to the Lake family for their participation in this interview.
