Ensuring a legacy of love for the future.
Arts in Motion is a love legacy born in friendship.
In high school, Arts In Motion founder Delight Lester began a life-long friendship with Phillip “Flip” Mulliner. He was that kind of friend who believed in her more than she did herself. When he married, his wife, Pam, was the perfect match to his spirited energy.
When they had their first child, Katura Mulliner (Katie), she was the light of their lives. She happened to have Down Syndrome which was no big deal; it just began another sort of life adventure for the Mulliners. Because of the birth of this angel, Delight returned to Grand Rapids to begin Arts in Motion.
Katie also had leukemia which set them on a journey no parent wants to go on. Katie was taken from us too soon, but it was in honor of her short life that Delight was devoted to finding a permanent home for Arts in Motion and ensure its future.
