I first discovered Arts in Motion studio while searching for dance classes for my child, the second I didn’t have to explain the term “vestibular input” I knew I was home.
Hi everyone, my name is Dorrie Sarhad, my pronouns are “she/her”. I am a full time Mom, art enthusiast, and equal rights advocate with a passion for the arts. Sadly, I was born with zero talent for anything creative but I thoroughly enjoy supporting art and artists in any way I can. I discovered very early on that my talents lie where I am most at home, backstage outside of the stage lights. My dream is to see all individuals, regardless of age or disability, have their chance to discover and explore the Creative Arts. I am native to Grand Rapids and I feel absolutely thrilled and blessed to be a part of the studio’s dream in providing those opportunities here in my hometown. I have 2 bio children and a family of fairy god–kids within the Autism Spectrum and the LGBTQPIA rainbow who I love and support with every fiber of my being.
In a previous life, I was a secretary and I look forward to bringing my secretarial and support skills to help further the dream of the studio, our staff, and our families.
