Shawn grew up in Grand Rapids Michigan, moved around the country and then found herself back in Grand Rapids, She has a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and a masters degree from Central Michigan University.

Shawn has worked in a variety of industries including IT, healthcare, telecommunications, manufacturing, compliance and distribution. She has worked for Fortune 500 companies, smaller organizations and currently has a consulting business and contracts out for other organizations.

Shawn learned about Arts In Motion through their offering of sign language. As a firm believer in diversity of thought, action and accessibility and is a huge proponent of AIM and its mission to make the arts accessible and enjoyed by all in the community.
