Spotlight on Summer Student Interns

Spotlight on Summer Student Interns

This Spring we will be welcoming three interns to the studio. Lirie and Summer are studying Therapeutic Recreation at GVSU and Shyanne is an MSW student at GVSU. We are excited about the additional help during classes and events and for a fresh take on what we offer students!

Lirie Krasniqi

Hi! My name is Lirie Krasniqi and I’m a student who wears many hats. I am studying Recreational Therapy at Grand Valley, I work as a janitor, I speak two languages (English and Albanian), and my family is originally from Kosovo. Most importantly, I will be doing my fieldwork this summer at Arts in Motion! I have some background in Albanian cultural dancing and doodling, but I am ecstatic to learn more and have meaningful interactions with the AIM students this summer.

Shyanne Murray

Hi there! My name is Shyanne and I am a social work intern at Arts in Motion beginning this summer. I graduated with a bachelor’s in psychology and youth studies from Central Michigan University before starting my master of social work degree at Grand Valley in 2023. In my free time, I enjoy reading, doing crafts, watching movies, and baking. I prioritize embracing everyone’s unique life experiences and seeing how we can all learn from one another. The Arts in Motion family has already felt so welcoming and I look forward to working with everyone more in the future.

Summer Selles

My name is Summer Selles, and I am a junior in the Recreational Therapy Program at GVSU. I am passionate about art and music. In my free time I enjoy drawing, reading, and listening to music. I am so excited to be a part of Arts in Motion and be able to use what I love to help people improve their lives!
